I am an avid linux user, because I believe in freedom. You too must believe in freedom, as in the individual type or what is the point. I started this blog to educate a bit, and to slake my need for peversions from time to time. Blogging on various bits and pieces etc.

However, reading a well respected community persons blog asks the stark question of “is site x blogging or flogging” Flogging as in selling, not the nice type
I like to think most things here are useful to people, and sure there are links etc that help cover the bills that my perversion racks up. I have a few interesting things coming up so keep tuned for cheap but sadisitic fun that is all but free

I know, I know, I’ve been missing in action for a while. What can I say? I need whipping with a nice (oxymoron ) whip.

I got accused of this last week! And what shocked me more was that it was true. I was. subs need to learn that you are not right, your Mistress always is

I tend to push things way too far, not in terms of anything extreme. Just that I tend to get greedy (or a greedy slut as Mistress puts it). I think I learnt that the golden rule here is gladly take what’s offered, as it may be all your offered. Push to far and best case scenario is that you don’t get anything at all and cause bad feeling or worse, as Mistress did to me, tied me down and introduced me to the new pain of a stiletto heal being scraped down my chest. It wasn’t nice and I have like, so learnt my lesson on this one. And yes it still stings but I still have to say thanks to Mistress because it taught me a lesson I will not forget. It taught me that I may think I know what I want, but it is not for me to decide what I get, that is Mistresses job.

Panty sniffing, it’s a pretty unique fetish. It has a bad rep for some reason. Not quite sure why, but don’t lnock it till you try it.

There are no labels in BDSM

It dawned on me, whilst reading the book “Bonfire of the brands” that there is no label snobbishness in BDSM. Ok, i’ll admit there are egos to need to be stroked, but when it comes to actual toys and such you buy, you can’t say “Oh, i’ll take that cute little YSL flogger” I racked my brains hard, but cannot really think of any. I mean just imagine if we all became label snobs in BDSM overnight. Scary

New year, new sexual beginnings

It’s that time of year, when people make new years resolutions. Why not make a new resolution with your play partner. Although a lot of people deny it, fetish is a valid form of expression. What makes that any less important than “I’ll try to be tidier in future” Not a lot really. However you have everything to gain from making a fetish new years resolution. I’m making some, including hopefully keeping this blog a bit more updated in future.

Seriously though, this project, FetishBasics, as the name implies is about the a b c’s of creating a fetish lifestyle. When you visit some sites, you may see stuff that you don’t even know what it is. We are trying to put all this into simple terms. However we can only lead you so far.

Why not make 2008 the year you really start to look at your alternative sexual lifestyle, learn about it and embrace it. To those of you who really don’t have a clue but want to start, why not buy an introductory book on BDSM. A good one to start with, a personal recommendation of mine is Screw the roses, send me the thorns. It’s inexpensive, you can read and learn at your leisure, and then build upon that knowledge together (not forgetting to visit here also)

The new year also holds a few changes for this site. I’m hoping, during the new year to

New articles. We will hopefully have some tutorials on knots and tying up people (yeah the bondage thing)

DIY Toys. Toys are expensive, and if you start to get into BDSM in a big way, they get even more expensive, but to start with, we can show you some basics toys and restraints you can make yourself. We will even throw in a photo or two

More interesting reads. Want to know in intimate detail about the lifestyle of a Pro Domme, or a painslut, you will probabilly find what you want here.

Hopefully we will also find some way to make the site a little more interactive, because at the moment all the traffic is one way (more or less) Yes we could turn on comments on the blog, but thanks to the spam bloggers, it would be a loosing battle. To put it into context, I have about 300 drive by spams a day in the blog.

Anyhow, before I sign off just now, have a think - “What can I do to make 2008 the year I got kinky”
