Enemas whilst not exclusively related to bondage or fetish play, it has many followers and a permanent place in the culture of bondage. An enema is basically the process of using liquid (usually warm water to start with) to assist in the removal of fetal matter. However it is used within a BDSM context for a number of reasons.

Firstly it is used in a control aspect, as in the feeling of being full can be uncomfortable and the potential of letting go at the wrong time can have a humiliating and embarrasing factor. This is very much related to control aspect of BDSM that we see often.

Secondly, if an enema is administered before anal sex it allows for the removal of matter as previously stated but it also makes anal sex more “clean” and pleasurable.

It is also said to have a positive effect on health, although as with everything, there is a difference of opinion on this one. Check out the beginner bath kit (ideal for starting and as its in the bath, no messy accidents to think about!)
