The one bad apple

It wasn’t long ago that I was talking about how people, incorrectly, just assume that BDSM is about pain and suffering. I put forward the view that if people were just to open up there minds a bit they may find something they enjoy. I also commented on that it only takes one bad apple to cause people to regard the community with more suspicion and negativity and then this happens. He is not part of our community, never was.

He is associated with us because of the lifestyle he chose for him and his unwilling schoolgirl slave. That is the only connection, unfortunately it is a powerful one to the unknowing and the uneducated.

As I write this the exact details are unclear, suffice to say that the poor girl was kept in a darkened windowless, soundproofed room. She was forced to call her captor of 8 years “Master” and she was understood to have become a domestic slave, although it is not known if she was sexually abused.

We, as a community try to convey everything as safe, sane and consensual (The three S’s) but this guy obviously didn’t get it. He probably was never even a part of any community that we would want to be a part of.

This just goes to show that we must, wherever possible portray our kinks and fetish in their best light, i.e. responsible adults, doing things for fun, enjoyment and life experiences. I don’t think this poor girl had any choice over anything like that.

It’s a pity the asshole got to take his own life, rather than meet out the justice of his peers in society.

Unfortunately, as I said it reflects badly on us all.
