The Brits are loose

The English Sexuality Impairment

Yes. I’m British (I know, we all have our problems ;) ). But whilst I was “doing the day job”, the office staff got talking about a weekend in Amsterdam and within two minutes the conversation had turned to the red light district and brothels. Why? Well, unfortunately, the average British male is so sexually repressed that the thought of a quick shag makes his month. It is unfortunate, that we British are so sexually repressed compared to the rest of Europe. Now, let’s for two seconds, take this further. If “normal” sex is repressed and not done or spoken about, where the hell does that leave us kinksters?

I’ve thought about this a lot today (NO I don’t like working!) and it could be one of two outcomes.

Firstly, it could be that we kinksters are just that bit more liberated and more in tune with the rest of Western Europe or it could be that we just choose to keep it out of the mainstream. The last thing we really want is a community that is given a bad name by some self appointed HNG (Horny Net Geek)

It’s like the English feel “allowed” to be different when abroad, i.e. normality to kinksters. When in Amsterdam, Prague and places with more open relaxed attitudes to sex for example some English people, however, take this to the extreme and drink far too much and get abusive and loud. No wonder we are the unwelcome crowd in Europe. Give them an inch and they take a mile as the old saying goes. But back on to thinking kink, we really need to loosen up mentally and chill.

For example, when I was younger I lived with a lovely submissive (extremely submissive) girl and her parents. Her parents were also kinksters, but to be able to talk about sexual acts that would make most British people blush over coffee in a relaxed atmosphere, was so good it was almost unbelievable. Hell, the parents, being good parents even helped me set up some extreme scenes for her and also gave me ideas at first because we knew each other but not so well as to be able to go from 0 to 150mph in a few weeks. We learned about each other much quicker because it was a relaxed environment where things could be openly discussed.

Different cultures have different outlooks on sex and sexuality, but at the end of the day, an open and liberal policy makes the lives of kinksters and normal people a lot easier. So why do we, as a nation, deny ourselves the pleasure of good sex and sexual encounters? I wish I had the answer, but alas I don’t!
