Like anything worth doing, it takes time and planning. Being a kinkster, you probably already know this but the old adage: Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.
What do we mean by this? Well just thinking about what you want to do or what you want to achieve is a good start. A lot of time people rush up to the bedroom (or down to the dungeon) and then when they have no idea where the play is going it can go downhill rapidly. You also both have to have some idea of where you are both going, including hard limits as we discussed before.
